Nikki Lam is a Melbourne-based visual artist and independent curator. Born in Hong Kong, she has some serious identity complexes. From video and installation, to writing and performative work, her practice engages in the complexity of belonging through the exploration of self, memory and space, with particular interests in the translations of post-colonial identities in the hybrid world.
Nikki is the Artistic Director of Channels, The Australian video art festival since 2014. Apart from her many independent projects, Nikki also works at Footscray Community Arts Centre.
