Senate Inquiry into the arts

This Wednesday, 4 November 2015, the Legal and Constitutional Affairs References Committee will be holding a public hearing with regards to the impact of the 2014 and 2015 Commonwealth budget decisions on the arts at the Gold Room, Mantra Parramatta, cnr of Parkes Street and Valentine Avenue, Parramatta.

And you’re invited.

Together with Curious Works, Blacktown Arts Centre, Wollongong Women’s Information Service, Bankstown Youth Development Service, Mascara Literary Review, Urban Theatre Projects, Multicultural Communities Council of NSW and a range of other organisations including local government representatives, Peril Magazine will be adding to its submission to the committee in conversation with Senator Lazarus (Chair), Senator Macdonald (Deputy Chair), Senator Bilyk, Senator Collins and Senator Ludlam.

Members of the public are welcome to observe the hearing throughout the day and at 10.40am, together with Mascara Literary Review, Peril Editor in Chief, Eleanor Jackson will be speaking on behalf of the team and board.
