Kala
November 22, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - November 24, 2019 @ 2:00 pm AEDT
Kāla is a classical Indian dance performance about death and regeneration. In this premier work, time is circular, death is epic, and themes of transformation, destiny and liberation arise from fire and ash.
Raina Peterson and Govind Pillai (In Plain Sanskrit, Bent Bollywood, Third Nature) perform Mohiniyattam and Bharatanatyam to a live orchestra as audiences join a transformative journey through life and death.
Please note that incense, camphor, tulsi, essential oils and ghee will be burnt in this performance as part of a scent-scape.
